Lots of life here

I forget how rich and green everything is here. Lupines are blooming everywhere by the roadsides. This lupine is a self-seeded one and is just beautiful. Dan has left it in the garden area. A little red squirrel youngster is overjoyed that Dan decided to put a chunk of suet out..lol. I got the suet for the chickens over the winter and didn't use much. Dan set the extras over in the farmhouse but I think he will save them and use them this next winter. I know the birds enjoy it too but I'm not in charge of how Dan will use them. It was entertaining. Then we spotted a good sized garter snake. It's mostly rained today so a good time to be sorting through the piles of stuff. I have made some progress. Hopefully, tomorrow I will start taping the boxes shut that I want and make stacks. It looks like total chaos right now but I'm just taking deep breaths and continuing on.
Things have been fine with Dan and I. It's good I can just be over in the farmhouse for all my needs, though. But we are checking in during the day. I met up with a good friend for lunch in town so that was great.
