Grumpy Old Man

Farming and cruising

In spite of a dull start to the day I managed to force myself out to carry a load of wood down to the garage. This is timber salvaged from the deck when I had repairs made, and I've stacked it in the garage for use in emergencies - if I put my foot through the old part of the deck as has happened before!

After lunch we drove down to the Corran Halls where a Famers' and Craft Market was in progress. This is today's extra. We bought a few goodies as there's always some lovely food for sale.

Outside in the bay a cruise ship was at anchor - the 'Scenic Eclipse', registered in the Bahamas, my Blip today. I can't say I like these modern vessels much - this one looks rather like a piece of household equipment! Not quite sure what!

When we came home the sun came out and I dared sit out with a book. And no, it didn't rain!

Quote of the Day: 'It is not that life ashore is distasteful to me. But life at sea is better' - Sir Francis Drake, Sea Captain.
