Callanish Stone Circle

We left our hotel in Tarbert after breakfast for the drive north to Lewis. Stunning and very dramatic scenery.

We visited the Callanish stone circle (which pre-dates Stonehenge) - fabulous. From here to the restored Blackhouses at Gearrannan.  Very interesting and worth a visit.

From here to Stornoway along the straightest road ever!  Visit to Lews Castle before we check in to our bandb.

Such sad news about Michael Mosley. We saw him at the Bridgwater Hall in Manchester back in February for a very entertaining evening.
