The daily bread

Prices for food are high up here and everywhere, but there are times they stun me; like here on a daily food market where I noticed the cheapest loaf of bread costs 
€ 3,60 and their most expensive is € 7,20. The average cheap prices I find and pay nowadays in my environment is € 2,50... still hefty prices, I think.
