White faced heron

Today was glorious weather, even a bit too hot for my clothes as we went for a wander. We had a beautiful blue sky and the most cirrusy cirrus clouds, so streaky. In the afternoon I went ito Sydney Park and was surprised to see the white faced heron I posted recently, or perhaps it was a different one, still in the wetlands as bird numbers have decreased for the winter. I love the way it focuses its eyes on a morsel.

In the evening, which are so short now, the sky put on a great sunset which I shot through my upstairs front bedroom window (see extra). Five minutes later it was all gone. Then we entertained and fed mum J and Margot. Good that we had enough in the freezer to avoid any effort.

Have a great start to the week.
