River lily, spent

I posted the river lily in bloom on 5 May 2023. Now the blooms have gone for winter and in their place are some elegant looking spiky stems with seed pods. The Resident Gardener will collect the seeds when they're ready and will plant them in due course. It was a great flower. 

Today we met up with the uni mates and ring-in partners, except for two who are down with the covid. It was at the Kirribilli Club, overlooking the harbour, the Bridge and Luna Park from the north side. Resting now of course.
