Dawn's Journal

Sun Worshipping

Somehow the day got away from me, and before I knew it, it was late afternoon and too late to go out. At least I finished off a watercolour and gouache painting started in my art class this week based on a Lowry painting.

So instead I did a quick dash round the garden which is looking very "pink" with geraniums inherited when I bought the house 30-odd years ago. They are very pretty but rather invasive so it's a battle each year to try to keep them under control and not swamp out everything else. The previous owners were so proud of them, it was virtually the only flowering plant they had!

I liked this view of one of the flowers from underneath, glowing in the sun, and remembered it might also work for the Community June Challenge of "Looking Up".
