Birthday celebration

We were delighted to be invited to help friend Pauline celebrate a special birthday. The event was a surprise party and was held at an impressive hotel and spa. It was so good to meet up with Pauline’s three sons again with their own lovely families. We dined well, and at the end of the meal the sun came out and it was warm enough for us to step outside onto the terrace with its view over the surrounding countryside.
It was a really good day, but we have promised we must meet P&P for a lunch somewhere where we can chat properly.
