Black and white

This plate is my latest glass creation and is in fact slightly sparkly black and iridescent white, although that doesn't really come over in this photo. I blipped it when I found that I hadn't taken any photos yet today and it was evening already.

Earlier I had driven down to Kelso with JF to see GS who is now in a care home there. I hadn't seen G since before lockdown; J had been seeing her weekly when she was in Peebles but not since October last year when she moved to the care home. J had had an accident involving her neck and is still unable to drive. We felt that the visit had been a success as Gill appeared to be very contented in her new environment, and it seemed a pleasant, bright and modern place with kind staff. It was also a lovely drive down with lots of sunshine and the countryside was looking splendid.
