All's Well That Ends Well With A 100 Yard Stare

Today I thought I would set myself a challenge and see if I could get an image within a 100 yards of my front door - instead I got three!
My first shot came into view as I passed these two parked cars just around the corner and saw the little octopus staring back me from the dashboard of one of them just as I looked over my shoulder. Encouraged by this first encounter with a purple cephalopod my photographic antennae were then alerted by the flowers in my first extra growing in front of a neighbour's fence - I loved how they stood out against the dark grain of the wooden panels with there being just one pink flower when all the others were blue - and finally my last extra was a road closure sign just a few yards further along the street which was indicating where a diversion finished, well every story should have a beginning, a middle and an end surely! :-)
