Caesar Head State Park

Our destination for today was Caesar Head State Park just across the border in South Carolina. My blip shows the magnificent view from the observation area. The rest of the day was spent hiking, two moderate trails recommended by one of the rangers. The first shorter one we found rather disappointing -:it was supposed to take us by two small waterfalls. Well, we did see one, but it was from the top so you could hardly see it. We didn’t find the second one, but we found the trails a bit confusing, and may have gone the wrong way. We had a snack and topped up our water bottle at the visitor center then set out on the second longer trail, to a viewpoint across a gorge to Raven Cliff Falls, the tallest waterfall in S. Carolina.
