Rufus Norris at The Live

After a lazy morning, I went to Hexham and collected the other Marjorie, then to Newcastle for Julie. We were all going to the Live Theatre to hear Rufus Norris being interviewed.

For overseas followers, he is the outgoing Artistic Director of the National Theatre.

He and the interviewer spoke in a conversational style so it was not easy to catch every word. He was thoughtful in his answers and it was interesting.

Several local actors were in the audience, so we did a bit of spotting - Jimmy Nail and Joe Caffrey to name two.

Back at Julie’s she gave us a lovely meal and there was more chat.
