A bittersweet day

Today the sale was completed on my Late mother's house. My parents bought it 46 years ago. I lived there briefly and have visited very regularly since I moved away.
I met the new owners when I handed in the keys to the estate agents. They seemed very nice and were very excited. They gave me these flowers which I thought was a lovely gesture.
