Life through the lens...

Room with a view.

Just back from a lovely day spent with our friend A.
She wanted me to see her sisters new garden.
They moved house last September because they wanted a view and a bigger garden.
Well they have certainly got both.
We were too late to see the camellia hedge in flower and also the pergola covered in wisteria.
However there were lots of other flowers to see.
The couple who had the house before were certainly plantsmen.
A’s sister is enjoying seeing what comes up.
Started with lots of bulbs in Spring. Now the summer perennials are beginning to flower and there are autumn plants coming up too.
Also plenty of fruit. Apples, pears, plums, gooseberries, red currants, black currants, raspberries and strawberries everywhere.
A. says she will let us have some of everything when they are ready.
The only drawback as far as I was concerned was that it is all terraced out of a steep hillside.
It will certainly keep them fit!

A young robin came to watch us and I couldn’t resist a photo, so included it in the collage along with part of the garden and the view looking towards Emley Moor mast.

Unfortunately there was that cool breeze and the sun didn’t come out until we were walking to the pub.
