The School Prom

The cold wind blew and the rain beat upon the house and we did think, can this be summer? Then at last the sun did shine but the cold wind still blew and the poor mortals trapped in a never ending cycle of unreasonable weather wrapped themselves in scarves and winter coats and turned on their heating.

Meanwhile, up in Moray, the Elgin grandchildren got dressed up for their school prom. Finlay leaves tomorrow to help at  a Canadian summer camp in Ontario before coming to Edinburgh University to study Engineering . Anna has several irons in the fire for a summer of activity but also  hopes to come to Edinburgh to study Geography. It seems just yesterday that they were newborns sharing a crib and university seemed light years away.
