We have a surprise
morning with sunshine and blue
skies to delight us

I was  up at 3 AM having a wander through my house in the dark. I looked at my security cameras which record the goings on out the front of my house. An ambulance was parked across my elderly neighbours' driveway. I sat for a few moments to watch. Eventually, a gurney was loaded, the Mrs. came out in her blue housecoat to peek into the vehicle and converse with one of the responders. Then it drove off without siren or lights flashing. I took myself back to bed.

I was out the door at 6 to greet a dazzling bright morning. I was making this a very short jaunt so I drove to the Schubert Drive Lookout to check the north river.

I first spotted a tent along the river's edge beside the lookout. I got a shot of my mountains across the river. I got a long shot looking north to the Halston Bridge. What a beautiful morning!

I noticed the abundance of cottonwood bloom hanging from the trees and edging the park like a snowdrift. Those with cottonwood allergies must be suffering terribly this season.

We have a huge tower coming up in the downtown. It will be at least 20 stories when completed. I was surprised to see how prominent it is even now and with its crane.

I picked up some breakfast on the way home. My daughter and I have a road trip this afternoon so I will need to get organized for that.
