this weekend with temperatures
rising with the sun

I was up before the sun this morning, but cloudy skies made me linger a bit. I left the house at 5:45 with plans for photos by the airport, then a grocery shop. 

Yesterday, I somehow managed to sprain my foot getting into the car. I hobbled for the rest of the day. Today is not much better on my already cranky feet. 

I parked at Vantage Point by the airport. I caught both early morning flights leaving the city. I have WestJet in the air and Air Canada on the runway.

I did a very short hobble along the Rivers Trail. The marmot appeared motionless on the riprap along the river bank. 

Just one dog walker passed me along the trail. It was a very quiet morning as one would expect this early. 

I got a look back at my mountains. Mt. Peter seems to have a wisp of smoke across its dome. 

I managed to come and go before the construction crew arrived at the junction. All their equipment sat idle. They've been working on the road, the Rivers Trail and the area around the Casey Memorial. I'm hoping it will be completed soon. 

Groceries done, I'm home for the day. I will give my feet the day off.
