DDW's July Challenge Day 8 : A lone tree.

A lone tree. In Orkney! Have you any idea how difficult that is? Orkney is pretty much devoid of trees, the wind is can be fairly strong from time to time and the trees don't survive.

When I looked at the challenge for today, I knew it had to be this one. Just off Porteous Brae, near the Khyber Pass... Bob got quite excited seeing it - a lonely tree in a sheltered courtyard, but giving those who look a little flash of leafy green...
