Returning to Paddington from Cheltenham
The 1059 emerges from the siding in Cheltenham to become one of the hourly departures to London. We had a very busy public facing voluntary shift at the station this morning. Despite the sunshine it was still chilly. I had to give a presentation in town in the early evening. Later we watched the remarkably moving D Day 80 ceremony. One of BBC Studios best ever productions. The illumination of every headstone - respect!
