Ixia paniculata
A South African cormous plant, borderline hardy in the UK but here, close to the west coast, it's survived two winters, one in a pot under cold glass and one outside in a raised bed where it is planted into a deep layer of sharp sand over the natural soil. It's more compact outside and much more upright and 'tidy' than the commercially bought Ixia hybrids planted adjacent.
A second work day at Abergynolwyn Cafe, closely followed by a trip to Aberystwyth where four of us from the Tuesday singing group were joining Gwerin Aber Folk for an evening singaround. As when I went before there were some very talented amateur singer musicians who provided a varied evening's entertainment. We more than held our own and our six songs all went very well, with most of the room joining in the choruses lustily. A grand evening out!
