I Witness

Tiny Tuesday ...

... fuzzy hairdo.

Now there's no telling if this tiny fledgling belongs to my Carolina wren from yesterday ... but there's a good probability.

Let me tell you how it ended up in Richard's palm.  It started yesterday when he returned home from the dentist and pulled the car into the garage.  As he was walking into the house he looked back into the garage and spotted something on the floor under the back bumper.  Upon investigation he found this little one.

Now you are probably wondering how he/she got into the garage in the first place.  Well ... for the second time in the past several years a Carolina wren pair have made a nest inside the insulation in the ceiling of our garage!  Silly things!  They did not do this last year so we thought they had forgotten about the silly nesting spot ... wrong!

This little one is very lucky that Richard did not run over him/her when he pulled into the garage as obviously he/she would be impossible to see while driving in.  We have placed him ... and his sibling that has also fallen from the nest ... into a box inside the garage for safe keeping.  The parents are returning to feed them both ... and any other siblings that might be up in the nest ... so we are pleased with that.

Thanks to sk for hosting Tiny Tuesday this month.  I realize this isn't an "object" but I couldn't resist this face that only a mother could love ... and me!

In other news:  I was in the pool for the first time this year.  And it was great!
