Little things

So, today was personally significant for two reasons. Firstly, most importantly, I used my pool for the first time - several times in fact on and off throughout the day - and it was wonderful. Secondly, I've found a 'handyman' - well, having asked friends, one has been found for me - the cousin-of-the-husband-of-a-friend I know through CoDA* and this afternoon he came and did the first round of making-it-my-home jobs, including hanging this vintage Turkish Kilim on my lounge wall. Bought many years ago, it signified 'home' in all my Istanbul places. The other jobs accomplished included shelving and a wardrobe rail so now I can put away all my newly washed clothes and upstairs can start to look less like a laundromat and more like home.

It's the little things.
