Bartolome Island, Galapagos

This is the view from the summit of Bartolome Island -- full credit goes to Mr. W for this image, as he bravely hiked up all 388 steep steps this morning to capture this image!  I chose to loll around in bed over getting up at 6:00 a.m., and besides my poor arthritic knee would not have appreciated that little jaunt!

Just off to the right side of the image, you can see a very fancy sailing yacht, The Sea Eagle.  After a quick Google search I learned that she is a mere 265' 7" long, and cost $100 million dollars to build!  She is owned by Dr. Samuel Yin whose net worth is a modest $4.7 billion!!!!!

This afternoon, we went out in one of the Zodiacs to explore the shore line at Bucaneer Cove on Santiago Island.  Extras show some of the beautiful bird life there -- some Swallow Tailed Gulls, a yawning Pelican, and a Blue Footed Boobie.
