Royal Sutton Fun Run

This was the Junior section setting off on the Fun Run's 41st year, with 4,600 runners altogether. Many years ago, I was one of those runners; this year I watched. Found it quite moving, think it was seeing so many folk united with one purpose - to run the race to the best of their ability - and raise lots of money for charity.

Our church, which is situated right where I took this photo, opened its doors, as it has for a few years now, offering free ice-cream, hamburgers and sausages, bouncy castles, live music, and much more. 

Gratefuls:
- a gorgeously sunny day, and a lovely, happy atmosphere
- all the volunteers running the events at church
- an excellent and encouraging talk by Donald in church tonight
