I haven't really been anywhere today, but I've been busy all the same. I pitted the last of the 2 kg of cherries I bought on Wednesday and made clafoutis with them. The appearance leaves something to be desired ... a too-high proportion of cherries to batter didn't help. I've decided I prefer apricot clafoutis in both the looks and flavour department -- the acidity of the apricots is balanced by the blandness of the batter. It takes less time to make too!

I also started a sourdough loaf since the store of bread in the freezer is cleaned out now. I read some more of my book -- I'm liking it more now I've got over the pastiche novel.
