Lying down

This was the view from my yoga mat as we lay down for the last few poses, including a few minutes of savasana.  It was the first Sunday I had been for a while and enjoyed it, not least because I was feeling slightly stiff from yesterday's Parkrun*.  This was followed by a swim - once again out to the Pine and back.  There were quite a few people in swimming this morning which was fun. I walked down and back with VP and it is always good chatting and catching up with her.

This afternoon I contemplated the next stage of reclaiming our garden - the quick wins have been done and some more heavy duty clearing beckons.

I also did some work on my family history stories that I am working on this year. This included an account on how one great great grandmother (Betsy Farquhar) used some of the money she had inherited from her uncle  in 1896 to divorce her husband who had left her 20 years previously. I rather live Betsy's style.  Her uncle had made money in the Gold Rush and property development in San Francisco but that's a story for another day.

* Note to self: you really *should* stretch afterwards.
