Grumpy Old Man

Orchids for nothing

A dull old day today, with some drizzle later. Not the sort of day to make you want to venture out, and we're still coughing our heads off - must have been something we picked up on holiday in the Isle of Man. There was a woman coughing her heart out on the tram up Snaefell - maybe we caught it from her!

So it's been a day of reading, of continuing to go through holiday pictures and watching an episode of 'Midsomer Murders'! Bit of an EB today; these are some self sown orchids - I think they might be Northern marsh, Dactylorhiza purpurella. They must have seeded into pots which I brought from Arduaine - every year a few more pop up.

Quote of the Day: 'May your life be like a wildflower, growing freely in the beauty and joy of each day.' – Native American Proverb.
