Blip with new phone

We were still trying to back-up my phone at midnight. Despite me deleting all but essential stuff the Mac refused to oblige. This morning our computer guru friend Phil came over and agreed with daughter and helpful Blippers that it could be done in the apple shop when I got the new phone, and that my phone had backed up to the cloud overnight anyway. We had been misinformed by the young salesperson who was too keen to talk and not listen.

We had to drive into town again, park at daughter’s and get the free metro in, as the trade-in offer ends tomorrow - so galling when it could all have been done yesterday. The young man helped us get sorted so I’m now in possession of a 15 on an interest free credit scheme with my 10 traded in. He asked if we wanted to buy a screen protector and I said yesterday’s girl had offered it free. He agreed but I couldn’t get a free case so I bought that and protectors for the lenses from a stall conveniently placed outside the shop. (At 1/3 of the price Apple was charging).

I had all my stuff and food sorted for the van this morning. Mr C is still pottering but not stressed. He didn’t want to accept Linda’s offer of tea and cake in the garden when we got back though - it’s a gorgeous sunny day with clouds coming in now and a cool breeze.

All my roses are going to bloom when we are away, so I must remember June is not a good time to take a month away. The foxgloves are coming out - they just seed themselves and appear at random. I hope you are all enjoying a warm summer day.
