a lifetime burning

It's been a lovely Summer's day, not too hot, not too cold, but just right.  I've not really done a lot, but here's a shot of damsels on the pond.  I spent a while trying to get some decent shots of them in flight. They're very unpredictable so this pair arguing over the perch provided by the grass leaf was a big help. Even so it's not quite what I was looking for.

With a bit of practice I'd quite like to get one that's completely in focus front to back and with clean wings. It was expecting a bit much to get two in the same focal plane but it is an entertaining challenge.

There's pair or mating large red damselflies as an extra.
