Wanderings and meanders

Abbotsford, Tweedbank

Caught the Borders Railway with J for a day out.  Fantastic day. Glorious sunshine, beautiful gardens, quirky collections within Walter Scott's conundrum castle. Then, wander down to the banks of the River Tweed where we saw an otter and a kingfisher!

(Some otter photos were taken but they only prove what it was from a vague shape so the iris win out).

Pause at Pearce's on the way home for some food and a drink. A former colleague happened to be there too so grabbed a quick catch-up.
