Soaking sparrow

A public holiday; so of course there were torrential downpours and short lived sunny spells before the next burst of heavy rain. Until the evening when it brightened up.

This sparrow was hoping about and barely keeping still, but was still damp from the rain.  Last night a young sparrow flew into the window, stunning itself.  Thankfully after about ten minutes it dusted itself off and returned to the trees.
