Just Transition

A bright sunny day

After a visit to my friend, I drove back into Dundee and on the way I stopped near the Port. This engineering company specialised in repair of oil rigs but now it is producing the units needed for Wind Turbines. This what is meant by Just Transition, workers from the old industry being trained in the new.

Scotland is a leader in the manufacture of these turbines. The towers look impressive when they are blocked together like this, ready to be transported to the North Sea.
