A beautiful sunny start to June.
The Feast Day of Saint Justin.
The blip is a photo of a photo on my other Tablet. I have been through a testing time with my old Tablet not having enough storage space, so I am daily clearing cache from the apps. My blip account won't connect via the newer Tablet.
My Great Nephew Elliot is three years old today. He is a delightful boy and full of energy, enjoying the park playground and all the fun activities nursery age children enjoy.
It is unusually warm today. 86f in the conservatory so Paul is up in his Music room keeping cool. He has been heroic today. After breakfast he mowed the back garden lawn which had grown wild but now it looks well cropped again.
Then he went to The Range and bought a new wooden bird table to construct and a smaller one to hang on the Oak tree near the seed feeder. Both turned out well and the young starlings, pigeons, magpie and sparrows appreciate his efforts.
Later in the afternoon I went to buy a few tins to start my emergency food supply in case anything untoward happens. Sir Oliver Dowden has recommended we stockpile essential items and there is a website if you want to check it out. I am not going to buy tons of things, just a few useful things that won't go out of date too soon. I am not a prepper. I admire them immensely but no one I actually know is doing any stock pilling.
These things are useful:
Canned fish
Wholegrains lentils, rice etc
Dried legumes, beans, peas, etc.
Nut butters, peanut, almond, cashew.
Canned fruit and vegetables
Pasta.
Food for the pets.
Toiletries. Batteries. A wind up radio. A First Aid kit.
Torches, candles, can opener, etc.
Obviously whatever else individual people need.
Have a lovely day. Don't worry, be happy, as the song goes.
Steps walked 7902.
