Banded demoiselle

Usually, by now, there are lots of butterflies and dragonflies around. It’s really quite worrying.

This morning I went over to RSPB Middleton Lakes. Woodpecker on the feeder, not much action visible in the heronry, but near the Silt Pool, there was this gorgeous banded demoiselle.

A bit of sunshine perhaps this afternoon ?
