Two Daves later

A brief catch up with my grumpy doppelgänger Mr Baddiel. My beard care is far superior to his otherwise you couldn’t tell us apart. We briefly locked horns over who had known Jo Brand the longest (I won) and he said he would be in touch if he ever needed a decoy double. 

Great session with the amazing Max Hastings who had clarity, stamina, honesty, and some astonishingly right-on views about how shit the lot of women in wartime was (sexual abuse, drudgery, loneliness). Excellent. Caitlin Moran who was on point and very funny. Sobering session on the Israel Gaza conflict which somehow managed to be tedious and repetitive. 

Had a very brief but welcome catch up with my old Mate Roger who I squeezed a drink in with before he went to play trombone in the Jools Holland band (extra).
