Wound up in Wexford

A family picture.  Painted by my great grandfather, the candlestick featured in the painting is one of the pair now displayed in front of it.  W thought I'd blipped the picture before, but if so, I can't track down the photo, so maybe not.  And I certainly haven't blipped it since it found a home here in Ireland.

The wooden furniture vaguely seen as the background to the paintjng is reputed to be a "Jacobean" chest, now in the possession of my brother.  I've put "Jacobean" in inverted commas, as the basis may have been Jacobean, but it had almost certainly undergone some alterations over the years.  Despite that, I loved it.

Another day spent pottering around the house, as the weather was not as good as promised - very windy and intermittent rain showers.  W did stuff in the workshop.
