Great Harwood Farmers' Market.
Great Harwood is one of the small nearby towns within walking distance of Rishton, and today they were holding a Farmers' Market in the town square.
The clock tower is quite an interesting landmark feature for the Arodders, as the locals call themselves, hope I have spelt it correctly. It was designed by Pugin, who is well known for his design work in the Houses of Parliament.
The One Planet shop was providing a stall with many nice products on sale along with huge bags of barbecue charcoal, which is thought to be better for the environment.
I strolled around in the sunshine taking lots of photos of the stalls, all of which were fascinating and the stall holders very friendly.
There was Julie from Rishton with her Body Shop stall. Cheeses, speciality breads, beers, books, Meditterranean food, old fashioned soft drinks like Sarsaparilla, Rhubarb and Rosehip, Blood Tonic and Dandelion and Burdock.
As it was so warm I walked home to Rishton and then sat watching Andy Murray delight us by winning the title at Wimbledon.
First Briton to win in 77 years.
Brilliant. Felt euphoric.
Well done Andy.
My day was rounded off with a Churches Together time of worship at St. Charles Church, salad and Raspberry roulade for tea and now I am waiting for the White Queen to begin.
A truly wonderful day.
Hope the weather stays sunny and you all have a great week.
