Rishton Festival.
We enjoyed a wonderful sunny Rishton Festival, which brought the crowds, and everyone had a good time.
The Prospects stall won a small trophy for best stall which was a nice surprise.
David, from Friends of the Earth, shared his knowledge about protecting the bees.
A few real bees swooped over the stall from time to time, which added meaning to the message of conservation.
Kerry and David also shared some insights about the very real concerns of the dangers to the environment of fracking for shale gas.
Hyndburn and Ribble Valley are ear marked for this questionable engineering and many people need to know the full picture and both sides of the coin and the possible consequences.
Our One Planet stall sold honey fron near Darwen.
We also had some colourful socks made of bamboo, handcrafted jewellery, Faith in Nature body care products and greetings cards of flowers and nature, made locally.
The temperatures kept high all day and it was a festival to remember, a wonderful credit to the Festival team who spend alot of their year planning it.
