Happy Anniversary

That’s the name of this rose, and I confess it was a last minute blip shot, taken in our front garden before it gets dark, because it’s been another very busy day.

We’ve had a couple of carpenters here since 8.00 am making up mesh screens which they are fixing to the inside of the small top opening windows in several rooms around the house. This will enable us to keep the windows open to air the house in the summer, without allowing the local population of flies, wasps and other insects access as well. The men made terrific progress and we’re delighted with the results so far.

Later on we had an other impromptu family visit, which was well timed because our son helped me re-hang the net curtains at the windows that had been finished, and put back the furniture that had been moved.
