Loud and proud
This morning JJ and I went across town on two missions. The first to investigate a new bed or beds. Decision made to have two single divan beds, new firm mattresses and matching headboards. We chose slate grey but I'm now leaning towards a mid grey for the base of the beds and headboards.
We both need a good night's sleep without disturbing the other but I still want to be near enough to shift him when he starts to snore, and I can have a different weight duvet if I want.
Second mission was to drop off a card etc., for our son's partner's son who turned eighteen today. Naturally he was still in bed at 11.30 a.m. but we did stay for coffee and a natter.
This afternoon I have emptied one of the big pots on the patio because it has become home to an ant colony. There are other pots to empty another day. Soil deposited under the apple trees. I've also cut back a trailing Rosemary bush that was taking over.
Yesterday evening JJ said a hedgehog was wandering the garden so I went out and threw it granules of hedgehog food. It didn't seem too bothered by me being close.
This is a peony that has started to bloom.
A blustery day with a sharp shower mid afternoon.
