The day started wet but an improvement wasn’t far away.

I had a lot to do and didn’t anticipate having to clear a blocked drain ….. the one that the water from the roof flows into at the front. I had to do it a few years ago so tried not to panic this time when I saw the water ponding above it.

As a bonus, in the back garden I was treated to the sight of three (or 4) juvenile greenfinches. I’ve had baby bluetits and blackbirds in the past but this was a first.

Made time for a walk around the block once the rain had stopped. The foxgloves are finally flowering.
