Yesterday’s rain
Much concern on the radio this morning about Italy’s prized cherry crop. Weather patterns are increasingly extreme: hot high pressure from North Africa alternating with intrusions of cool/cold air from the north/North Atlantic. The warm mild moist Azores high from sub tropical latitudes used to ameliorate and block this alternation. Alas, it seems, no more.
Still. The olive trees have plenty of blossom this year waiting to open.
