Spot the snake

By the greenhouse this morning.

I think this is the The Aesculapian snake /Zamenis longissimus. Non venomous and named after Greek god of healing. Can grow to 7 feet! Europe’s biggest snake. Feeds on small mammals, birds and their eggs. A superb climber. V common although hard to see.
