Sammy's Day Oot

A beautiful sunny day, all day and warm, not Cyprus warm but a comfortable Shetland warm.  Simmer Dim nights are here, no dark nights now. 

Up early, headed out walkies with Sammy after breakfast.  Two loads of washing out, then a run out on the boat.  Popped down to Laura's in the afternoon.  A few garden chores done before tea.  Back to work in the shop this evening, a steady night of customers.  Feet up now.  

I had great plans for today, but that went out the window when I saw the weather.  Peerie Brian mentioned a trip on the boat, me and Sammy grabbed our things and headed out too.  While we were away, I missed Sammy's 14th Gotcha Day, so much needed Sammy time today.  Sammy will be approximately 16 years old now, not entirely sure as he was a rescue dog.  He's fairly slowed down this past year, but still loving life and enjoying seeing as much as Shetland as he can.  After a stroll over the isle, we relaxed, with the sounds of waves and the return of the summer birds feeding in the sea.  Sammy taking it all in, up the hill at Oxna.
