Abbaye aux Dames

we arrived at Saintes this evening where we are staying at the Abbaye aux Dames.   The abbaye is a conservatoire of music and above us we can hear lovely music as they rehearse. The bedrooms are along this corridor and are the old nuns rooms which have been beautifully restored. There is also a great display of photographs of the musicians along the corridor. Altogether a delightful place to stay.
