I've bean everywhere!

Another day of stinking tar, but at least we won't have to worry about resurfacing our road again! I had to go down again to ask when they would be moving their van so Mrs M could get out to go shopping! I shouldn't have moaned about council workers yesterday - these are contractors of course!

After lunch I returned to the Walled Garden and erected a row of bean sticks. Many of the bamboos from last year were broken and I know some were nicked, but I had enough to plant all my beans. I might be able to grow a few more in the polytunnel - I'm awaiting permission! So I got plenty of runner beans in, variety 'Lady Di', all protected with plastic sleeves from cut up lemonade bottles - hope that will protect them from anything horrible that tries to chew them!
