Batman Returns

My first sighting this year of the 'Batman' Hoverfly, Myathropa florea, in our back garden.

But then nearby, on the same patch of mint, I saw my first ever Tortoise Beetle, Cassida viridis (see today's 'Extra'): quite an incredible sight really, somuch so that at first I wondered if I really was looking at a living creature.
