A rainy rose
Seems to have rained, or drizzled, all day.
A good morning at Fareshare - a nice extra job for me - sorting the donations we get from individual shoppers at supermarkets, who donate something they’ve bought specially for Fareshare, in boxes at the exit. The job is to check ingredients, and best before dates, and then make up a nice mixture of items into a 10 kilo tray - typically cereals, pasta, pasta sauce, baked beans, tinned tuna, tinned veg. All good and just what’s needed. Sometimes you get a mouldy looking tin or packet that has expired years ago. They’re not from the supermarket shelves, so someone has actually brought them in from home - maybe thinking “oh they’ll do for poor people“ You really have to wonder sometimes.
I saw this fabulous rose when I was almost back home. It also had a nice scent. Spent a drizzly afternoon doing indoor chores and catching up with blip comments.
