Evening sunshine

This poppy grows next to the shed of my allotment neighbour. It was lit up nicely at 7pm I thought. 
I worked in the garden in the morning. Then in the allotment late afternoon. I wrestled with bindweed roots and plants for ages - they are a curse, and I’ve never been able to get rid of them completely. And I listened to the Rafael Nadal match at the French Open tennis - specifically the last match he will play at the Paris tournament. He still played with flashes of brilliance, but wasn’t strong enough to beat Zverev. He’s been my favourite male tennis player for many years - his career on the adult tour has been 22 years - and now, age 37 after a lot of injury, he’s coming to an end, gracefully.
