Cormorant

A nice cycle around the island of Shapinsay and walk around the NEss of Ork at the NE tip of the island, which is where this shot was taken.  I got another red-backed shrike, a female, so have both RBS and great grey shrike sightings on Shapinsay. Also of note was a flock of eleven long-tailed ducks on Vasa Loch as nearly all the hundreds of LTD have left for northern breeding areas.
